About us

Karagwe Environmental and Sustainable Development (KESUDE) is a non-governmental organization officially registered in 2021 under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, No. 24 of 2002. Based in Karagwe District, Kagera Region, Tanzania, KESUDE is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and their families by creating opportunities for education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The organization actively works to eliminate barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing essential services, advocating for their rights and inclusion in all aspects of society. Through community engagement, capacity-building programs, and collaboration with various stakeholders—including government authorities, healthcare providers, and educational institutions—KESUDE strives to ensure that marginalized individuals receive the support they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives. With a strong commitment to social justice and sustainable development, KESUDE continues to champion initiatives that enhance the well-being and dignity of people with disabilities while promoting a more inclusive society.

Mr. Theophil Musa oversees KESUDE’s governance and ensures the smooth execution of programs. He  provide leadership to the board, facilitate decision-making, and guide the organization’s growth and sustainability.

Executive Secretary

As the Executive Secretary, Josephat leads the organization’s overall strategy, administration, and stakeholder engagement. With extensive experience in community development and advocacy, he plays a crucial role in ensuring that KESUDE’s initiatives align with its mission and vision.

Responsible for financial planning and management, the Treasurer ensures transparency and accountability in KESUDE’s financial operations. They oversee budgeting, funding allocation, and financial reporting to maintain the organization’s financial health.
